 We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Marketing academic Group at Aston Business School. The post holder will&amp;nbsp;be responsible for providing a full administrative service to the Marketing Group and monitoring and co-ordinating group activities in teaching, research and citizenship. The post holder will also act as a central and confidential point of contact for the whole group and to facilitate and advance all aspects of the group&amp;rsquo;s activities. The post holder will also manage contracts, payments and administration for all sessional staff throughout the academic year as required by the Head of Group and Research Convenor, complying with University policies.

 You will be educated to A level standard with Grade C or above in English and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent). You will have substantial administrative experience gained ideally in a Higher Education Institution and have excellent IT (competent in Microsoft Office), communication and organisational skills.&amp;nbsp;

The Learning Development Centre (LDC) aims to help all students achieve their full potential and reach the high academic standards that are required by Aston University. The LDC provides students with maths support, study skills advice, and guidance for academic writing.

We seek an enthusiastic, motivated team member to provide reception and administrative support within the Learning Development Centre to:

 
  Facilitate student access to learning development services
 
  Provide administrative support to the Head of the LDC and the LDC teaching staff
 
  Support monitoring and evaluation processes in the LDC
 
  Support LDC liaison with Schools of Study, University departments, and external contacts.

Educated to A-level standard with GCSE in English and Mathematics (or equivalent), you will have excellent communication and customer service skills, good IT skills, and the ability to work independently and organise your workload effectively.

You should have experience of administrative work, demonstrable customer services experience, and relevant experience of supporting students in a study skills or academic environment. A positive approach and willingness to work flexibly are essential.
