 We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to the Marketing academic Group at Aston Business School. The post holder will&amp;nbsp;be responsible for providing a full administrative service to the Marketing Group and monitoring and co-ordinating group activities in teaching, research and citizenship. The post holder will also act as a central and confidential point of contact for the whole group and to facilitate and advance all aspects of the group&amp;rsquo;s activities. The post holder will also manage contracts, payments and administration for all sessional staff throughout the academic year as required by the Head of Group and Research Convenor, complying with University policies.

 You will be educated to A level standard with Grade C or above in English and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent). You will have substantial administrative experience gained ideally in a Higher Education Institution and have excellent IT (competent in Microsoft Office), communication and organisational skills.&amp;nbsp;

 The Enterprise Research Centre (ERC) launched on 1 January 2013 and will become a national and international focal point for research, knowledge and expertise on small and medium-sized businesses. The Centre will exploit and develop the existing knowledge base and data resources, strengthen the links between evidence and practice, and inform government policy and business practice for SMEs in the UK.

 ERC is a joint collaboration between the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the British Bankers&amp;#39; Association (BBA), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Technology Strategy Board (TSB).

 The Centre is jointly hosted at Warwick and Aston Universities, and will work alongside a consortium of other universities including Strathclyde, Birmingham, De Montfort and Imperial College London.

 Together with their counterpart at Warwick the Centre Manager at Aston will be responsible for the management of the ERC and its research programme and provide strategic and administrative support to the work of the Director and Deputy Director.

 The Centre Manager at Aston is solely responsible for managing, organising and recording impact indicators and events for ERC funders, users and stakeholders and will be a key contact for communications with policy makers, SMEs and media interaction.&amp;nbsp; The Centre Manager will also direct the ERC academic team in the development of a publication series and other hard copy and on-line publications and content. They will also manage the content of the ERC website and have editorial responsibility.

 The successful applicant should have a good first degree, preferably in an area coincident with the Centre&amp;rsquo;s research (or equivalent relevant professional administrative/accountancy qualifications) as well as a relevant post-graduate qualification or substantial equivalent experience in a management/administrative role at a supervisory level. They will have substantial prior experience of the development and use of KPIs in a research context as well as experience of budget-monitoring and financial processes.

 They must be able to demonstrate the ability to assist the Directors of the Centre work and build relationships with a range of senior colleagues, partners, stakeholders and external clients and contractors.
