 Aston University is seeking to appoint an Advice Zone Team Leader to manage the senior immigration and generalist advisers in the Hub Advice Zone. &amp;nbsp;Reporting to the Director of the Hub, Counselling &amp; Disability Support, you will ensure the smooth and effective work of the team and respond promptly to urgent situations and changes in student demand whilst carrying your own caseload. You will be expected to spend around 40% of your time on personal casework with the remaining time spent on management issues.

 This post is a management role within Student Services; a role which demands and supports a high performance staff culture and initiates change. You will

 
  Lead on the development and enhancement of advice at Aston University.
 
  Have overall responsibility for the advice team&amp;rsquo;s service and be able to demonstrate strong, sensitive leadership skills.
 
  Advise the University on strategic development initiatives and inclusive practices to ensure our students receive a quality service in which the student experience and student satisfaction are paramount.
 
  Have responsibility for part of the Hub budget

In 2011-2012, the team opened 1,801 immigration cases, 599 student finance cases and 199 academic advice cases.
