This is an exciting time to join Aston University. We have recently launched our new Strategy for 2030, which sets out a bold vision for Aston as an inclusive, entrepreneurial, and transformational university.  The Strategic Funding Manager will play an important role in the development and growth of Aston’s funded research portfolio.

Reporting to the Director of Research Services and working primarily with Aston Business School and the School of Law and Social Sciences, the Strategic Funding Manager will lead the development of high-quality research proposals that align with School and University Strategies and research funder priorities.   You will join a vibrant Research and Enterprise department supporting the development of Aston University’s research base.

We are looking for an experienced and talented individual with an established track record in research development in a University or research setting.  You will have proven experience of research bid development, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and a sound knowledge of the UK research funding and policy environment.
