The Leadership and Management Department at Aston Business School is a vibrant, interdisciplinary community dedicated to advancing responsible leadership, ethical business practices, and healthy, inclusive workplaces. We have a well-established and growing team of scholars working at the intersection of healthcare management, wellbeing, and human resource management.

We are now seeking a highly motivated and inspirational individual to join our expanding team as a Lecturer Leadership and/or People Management, with particular interest in candidates whose research includes leadership, HRM, or people management in healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold (or be near completion of) a PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • Have a developing or established track record of high-quality research.
  • Bring a creative, long-term research vision aligned with the department’s ethos of inclusive, ethical, and impactful research.
  • Demonstrate the ability and enthusiasm to collaborate across disciplines and engage with public or private sector stakeholders.
  • Be committed to excellence in teaching, especially through evidence-based methods and innovative digital pedagogies.
  • Show readiness to supervise PhD and DBA students and contribute to a thriving doctoral research culture.
  • Uphold high standards of academic professionalism, collegiality, and integrity.
