An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy, hardworking and friendly Health and Safety Unit. As a Health and Safety Business Partner, you will work with colleagues within schools and departments to provide professional advice, assistance, and management to ensure legal compliance and to incorporate best practice into all aspects of operations. 

You will support the Director of Health, Safety and Business Continuity, and the other Health and Safety Business Partners to deliver the objectives in the University’s Health and Safety Strategy and drive the continuous improvement of Health and Safety Management throughout your schools and departments. You will work closely with the Health and Safety Advisors in schools and departments to deliver a high-quality pragmatic safety service.

The Health and Safety Unit provides a professional service to the University covering policy development, risk management, specialist advice, training, auditing and legal compliance. We make a valid contribution to the strategic direction of Aston University and are dedicated to reducing accidents and improving standards of health and safety. We provide tailored, comprehensive advice to managers, high quality training and manage the implementation of regulatory requirements.

You will use your managerial experience to mentor, manage and develop the H&S advisor for you designated schools.
