Working within Student Life, the Funding and Student Life Advisers provide advice and support to students throughout their studies.
With significant experience of supporting students with matters such as student finance, academic issues along with the associated impact on funding, and welfare concerns, you will provide accurate and high-quality information and advice to students experiencing a wide range of actual or potential barriers to successful study. You will also develop and continue sustainable projects to proactively inform our students and raise awareness of funding matters and financial capability.
You will bring:
- Experience of providing advice on Student Finance and welfare support to students within a higher education setting.
- Knowledge of Student Finance England and policies and regulations around Student Finance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high standard of written and spoken English.
- Experience of supporting student projects and awareness raising through a variety of channels and methods.
The role is a hybrid role with a minimum 60% of the working week on campus with a flexible approach to work, including occasional evening and weekends, when necessary.
