We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, proactive individual with excellent communication skills to join the HR Partnering and Policy team as a HR Advisor.

It’s a great time to be joining the HR function as we work towards the University’s emerging 2030 strategy and delivering the associated People Strategy.

As part of the HR Business Partnering team, the HR Advisors will play an integral role in the implementation of effective, equitable and consistent HR support across Aston University’s academic and professional services departments, working alongside the HR Business Partners to do so. HR Advisors will assist in a range of people processes at Aston, alongside projects and some case work. This HR Advisor role will quickly add value for designated stakeholders, providing high quality advice tailored to their needs.

This is a generalist role encompassing general HR advice, recruitment and changes to individuals’ contracts, job evaluation/promotions and casework. There will also be the opportunity as part of the wider professional HR team to develop policy, procedures and guidance.

Whilst working collaboratively with other HR Advisors and Business Partners to share good practice and to handle peaks in workload, the post holder will be a passionate and proactive individual with the ability to rapidly build credibility as a trusted HR Advisor and the ability to prioritise workload to ensure that competing deadlines are met.

With strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, the successful applicant should be CIPD Level 3 qualified and Associate Member, or equivalent experience.
