The College of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Technician. You will join a team of technicians who provide specialist technical support to the teaching and research facilities of Biosciences, Pharmacy, Neurosciences and Medicine. The successful candidate will be required to provide day-to-day support of the Cell Culture Facility and will undertake duties such as below:

  • Maintaining the Cell Culture Facility and liaising with key stakeholders such as Staff, Students and Researchers
  • Providing and Sharing Expert Technical Specialist Knowledge on Cell Culture to Staff, Students and Researchers
  • Providing Technical Support to Researchers for the Imaging Suite on equipment such as Confocal
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety Regulations are met
  • Performing Inventory and Stock Checks for the Cell Culture Facility, negotiating Value for Money with suppliers 

The successful candidate will need to hold a degree in Biosciences and will need to have experience of working in Cell Culture Facilities.
