Aston University is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused colleague to join our Learning Services team within Library and Learning Services. Working as part of the Academic Skills and Mathematics Development team, you will provide high-quality mathematics and statistics support for undergraduate and postgraduate students, both pre- and post-entry to the University.

You will teach through a variety of formats, including one-to-one tutorials, small and large group teaching, online tutorials and virtual classrooms for off-campus learners. You will also work collaboratively with academic colleagues to embed mathematics support within Aston's taught programmes, helping students to develop the confidence, skills and understanding needed for academic progression and success.

We are looking for someone with experience of teaching learners in higher education, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to student partnership. Experience of developing or supporting Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) schemes would be an advantage. You will also bring enthusiasm for digital learning technologies and an interest in helping students develop the digital awareness and skills needed for learning and assessment.

If you are committed to enabling students to thrive and would like to play a key role in enhancing mathematics and statistics support services at Aston University, we would like to hear from you.
