Aston Medical School is committed to promoting social mobility, leadership and international connectivity, while addressing the needs of its communities through widening participation, its research strategy, primary care education and healthcare leadership.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Clinical Senior Lecturer for this 0.1 FTE post to co-lead the Radiology specialty within the MBChB programme. The post-holder will advise on core content, learning outcomes, curriculum integration, assessment and quality assurance across the programme.

Radiology is taught longitudinally across all years, with a stronger anatomy focus in the early years and greater emphasis on diagnostic application in the clinical years. The curriculum integrates radiology vertically across the programme and horizontally across relevant systems and specialties, both within the University and with Local Education Providers.

Working as part of a supportive, dynamic and multi-professional MBChB team, the post-holder will collaborate with School and NHS colleagues to support effective planning, delivery and quality management of the Radiology specialty. They will complement the work of the existing Radiology Lead through contribution to teaching, assessment and quality assurance.

There are also opportunities for collaborative research in medical education and within the wider research portfolio of the Medical School.

We are looking for a consultant with a strong commitment to teaching and student learning, experience in scholarly educational development and delivery, and enthusiasm for cross-disciplinary working with colleagues across the University and NHS. The joint appointment will be subject to agreement with the substantive employer.

Enhanced DBS clearance will be required.

The post-holder will report to Dr Sami Al-Ani and Dr Shagaf Bakour.
