Research Assistant (Internal Only)

Applications are invited for an 11 month Research Assistant position within the Cybernetic Human Lab (https://cs.aston.ac.uk/chl) of the Computer Science Department at Aston University. The successful applicant will join a highly interdisciplinary group working in artificial intelligence, cognitive science and mixed reality.

For the further development of an existing virtual breathing training system we are looking for a skilled programmer with a good understanding of VR, virtual human technology, UI, and back-end programming.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Development of breathing training system based on existing code base
• Development of UI for breathing training system
• Development of data storage backend for breathing training system
• Setting up focus group study for breathing training system

We are looking for application with experience in Unity game development, building Unity-based VR systems, virtual human technology, UI and backend programming, as well as in setting up user studies.
