An opportunity to join the newly developed, forward-looking and ambitious Library Leadership Team (LLT) at Aston University, to lead and manage a team of five Information Specialists.
This includes oversight and development of Information Specialist activity including academic support and engagement, programme development and review, and learning and research skills development. The postholder will be responsible for motivating and leading the Library’s Information Specialist team and strategic leadership to align the team’s activity with Aston’s 2030 strategy.
Alongside 3 other Heads of Service, the postholder will be a key member of the Library’s Leadership Team (LLT) and will lead on cross-service initiatives and the development and delivery of the library’s strategic plans.
To apply, you will be a qualified librarian (or hold an equivalent qualification) and be able to demonstrate significant experience of people management, with evidence of successfully delivering information specialist services. A strategic outlook is essential, as is the ability to draw on sector best practice and in driving forward digital innovation.
