This is an excellent opportunity to join the Digital Marketing team at Aston University, in an in-house video production role.

Aston University is ranked 2nd in the UK for improving social mobility and adding significant value to the employability of our graduates as pioneers of the placement year. We offer largely business, science, health and technology focused programmes across foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate and degree apprenticeships. Our research strength encompasses four major research institutes and multiple specialist research centres, and our business engagement work reaches thousands of employers and employees each year.

Applicants should either have degree level education in film / video production or an extensive body of work from either freelance work or another in-house position.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage the entire video production process, rather than being specialised in one area.

The successful applicant will contribute to the wider marketing mix, by creating video content for digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, and web.

The role will involve shaping and informing, internal client briefs and delivering said briefs using in-house cinema cameras and editing software dedicated to the role. You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to progress multiple video projects to completion meeting various stakeholder timelines.

You will often work autonomously, managing your own workflows, but will also work collaboratively on productions with three Digital Content Officers across the Aston University Colleges.

There will be a requirement for the position holder to work on campus to fulfil filming, technical setup, in-person briefings/meetings. However other elements of the role are applicable for homeworking.

This post requires an Enhanced DBS clearance.
