The post is in Professor Richard Hogg’s group in Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies. The successful candidate will develop photonic crystal surface emitting lasers (PCSELs).
The main responsibilities of the role lie in GaAs based PCSEL fabrication and characterization.
A PhD in a related discipline, and experience in compound semiconductor manufacturing, including nano-fabrication is required. Experience of successful project delivery, and working experience of laser test and characterization is also required.
