Aston University is seeking to appoint an International Student Adviser to work within International Student Services which forms part of Student and Academic Services.

The University prides itself on its diversity, and currently around a quarter of its students are recruited from the EU or from overseas. The quality and breadth of support for incoming International and EU students is fundamental to this role as is the importance of the student experience. 

You will work as part of a team of International Student Advisers.  All advisers are involved in delivering advice and support on international issues throughout the year, and each adviser has responsibility for co-ordinating and developing a specific area of advice and support. You will be responsible for the advice and guidance offered to incoming international students and the information available to students on the website.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have substantial experience in a similar role providing immigration advice. This is a specialist role, requiring in depth knowledge and experience of the UK Visas and Immigration Regulations and Guidance as well as experience of working in a Higher Education environment. You will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and strong analytical and problem solving skills.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
