The Centre for Growth is a centre for expertise in business and economic growth and a focal point for growth programmes and other small business activity at Aston Business School. The Centre for Growth has been running high profile and high impact support for SMEs since 2011 including the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses regional programme, the Aston Programme for Small Business Growth, and Pitchfest West Midlands. The Centre works with external funders and partners, for example delivering growth programmes in collaboration with other Small Business Charter holding business schools, and is a strategic partner in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP Growth Hub. ERC, the national Enterprise Research Centre run jointly by Aston University and the University of Warwick, operates at Aston within the Centre for Growth.

The Centre runs the Aston Programme for Small Business Growth which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

There are 10-15 people within the Centre team and the Programme Engagement Manager will work closely with other team members to support the successful delivery of the Aston Programme for Small Business Growth. The key responsibility within this role involves engagement with beneficiaries, stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring compliant procurement processes throughout and for co-ordinating the effective marketing of the programme.
