Aston Law School’s mission is to be a distinctive law school that combines academic rigor with practical insight for ‘future ready’ LLB and LLM graduates.  We do so as The Guardian’s University of the Year 2021 and as one of the leading universities for Entrepreneurship and Social Mobility.  Our research in the areas of Digital Commerce and Society, Property and International Business is both funded and impactful.

We are an independent law school within the same College as the world renowned Aston Business School.  We are committed to making the most of imminent changes to legal education to deliver a distinctive programme that meets the requirements of twenty-first century employers.  Our programmes will teach a combination of ‘traditional’ law subjects alongside more creative and innovative subjects that provide the academic grounding for skills and attributes of modern lawyers (for example, problem solving, legal project management, excellence in communications).  We do so in three broad pathways: the Law of Business, the Business of Law and the Future of Law. We are seeking to recruit a Teaching Fellow to support these plans by providing additional teaching and enterprise expertise in the areas of the Law of Business and the Future of Law with a focus on Digital Commerce and its regulation.

The successful applicant will be committed to excellent teaching and outstanding student support.

We are a growing Law School and we offer a friendly, supportive and vibrant community of legal scholars embedded in a world-leading business and social science faculty.

The post is available to start in the autumn of 2021. Informal enquiries about this post should be addressed to Jonathan Fortnam (Dean of Aston Law School) by email

Please note: Redeployees will be given priority consideration for vacancies
