Aston University Nursery is a purpose built 104 place Nursery providing a high standard of care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years of age.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed Nursery Cook who can work alongside the senior management team to design and deliver healthy and nutritious meals for all the children in the nursery.  The post holder will have experience of planning and preparing large quantities of food and catering for people with allergies or varied dietary requirements.   They will have knowledge of the nutritional requirements of young children and plan recipes appropriately.

You will be expected to keep a clean hygienic environment at all times, along with the full completion of all food safety documentation. We currently have 5 stars from the Food Standard Agency and we expect the successful applicant to maintain this high standard.

You will be producing healthy and wholesome hot lunches, Dinners, baking desserts, and preparing tea for up to 104 children.  

Hours of work: 

9am – 1pm Monday to Friday 

(some degree of flexibility could be offered in line with the business needs.)
