Salary:  £51,799 to £60,022 per annum
Plus 7.5% allowance for irregular hours and on call responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead our Campus Safety team through a sustained period of change as the Aston University campus is re-designed and re-developed over the next five years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Campus Services department which manages the security service at the University. You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a new Security strategy for the University which will shape the future direction of this critical service. You will also contribute to other working groups and teams across the University responsible for establishing a safe campus environment for our students, staff and visitors to the University.

Key elements of the role in addition to effective leadership of the department include developing positive working relationships across the University colleges, departments and the Students Union. You will also be expected to develop external liaison networks with relevant bodies and agencies.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader who can demonstrate a sound track record of achievement in a similar role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of contemporary security management together with a relevant academic or professional qualification at level 5 or above.

The assessment process will be a two stage interview process:

First Stage interviews will take place on Thursday 17th February 2022

Second Stage interviews will take place on Friday 25th February 2022
