The School of Biosciences wishes to appoint a teaching-focused Lecturer to contribute to teaching and assessment in Biosciences at Aston University.  This full-time appointment will complement the existing academic team and support teaching across the full range of programmes delivered at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level.  

Candidates for this post may be in the early stages of their academic career but must be able to demonstrate an ability for teaching across the range of programmes within the School of Biosciences.  Experience of teaching in areas such as physiology, metabolism, stem cells and regenerative medicine, molecular genetics, and microbiology would be advantageous.  Applications from individuals with experience of working within NHS Biomedical Science laboratories are particularly encouraged.  Candidates should also demonstrate an ability to deliver teaching in a Higher Education or professional clinical setting. Successful applicants should hold a teaching qualification relevant to Learning & Teaching within Higher Education or have sufficient relevant experience in teaching Biosciences-relevant material in an HE setting.   

The successful candidate will join an established group of Bioscientists who deliver accredited undergraduate programmes in Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences and Biochemistry.
