The Engineering Systems and Supply Chain Management Group (ESSCM) is one of the three departments of the School of Infrastructure and Sustainable Engineering within EPS. With a focus on solving complex sociotechnical problems by integrating approaches based on engineering, management, and social sciences—using systems thinking we are seeking a Senior Lecturer/Reader (1 post) in either Logistics Systems or Supply Chain Management (or closely aligned fields) to strengthen our efforts to engineer sustainable supply chains. 

Applicants should be able to evidence research achievement and teaching excellence in logistics, transport or a closely aligned field. They should be able to show willingness to take on leadership duties within the Department and be able to engage with employer groups. Applicants should hold a suitable teaching qualification and a PhD in a relevant discipline. 

If appointed to the role, the Head of Department will also receive guidance, mentorship and support with their own professional and personal development.
