Your contribution to Aston’s mission, exploitable research and employable graduates, will be to support the Careers and Placements Team’s strategic aim of maximising positive graduate outcomes for all students with a particular focus on providing holistic administrative support across the department.

This key role supports the Careers & Placements team by delivering a face-to-face customer service experience, dealing with a volume queries from students, staff, employers and visitors. Confident in both demeanor and the use of technology, the Operations Assistant will be responsible for ensuring a successful customer experience by signposting information and services available as appropriate, booking appointments, workshops and answering incoming queries online, on the telephone and face to face. This role will also monitor and facilitate the department’s expenditure (goods and services) and support with the organisation of assessment days, alongside inductions and other key departmental events.

Educated to A level or equivalent, applicants must have good customer service skills, with previous experience of delivering successful customer service to diverse stakeholders. 

Good IT skills are also essential as are strong verbal and written communication skills.
