We have recently launched our new Strategy for 2030, which sets out a bold vision for Aston as an inclusive, entrepreneurial, and transformational university.  The Grants and Contracts Officer will play an important role in the development and growth of Aston’s funded research portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Awards and Contracts (Research), the Grants and Contracts Officer will work closely with the SFM team develop the research funding portfolio of the University Research Institutes and Schools. With primary responsibility for a portfolio of activity across the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Biosciences and the School of Psychology, Health and Clinical Science, the postholder will work across the structure to support the development of high-quality research proposals.

We are looking for an experienced and talented individual with an established track record in research funding in a University or research setting.  You will have proven experience of research application development, excellent communication skills and a sound knowledge of the UK research funding environment.
