            <p><br></p><p id="isPasted">Aston Business School is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Alumni Relations team as an Alumni Relations Officer. In this role, you will engage with our global community of Business School graduates, building strong relationships with alumni and developing a network of volunteers who actively support the school&rsquo;s strategic priorities, including student employability, recruitment and global engagement.</p><p>Working closely with the Global Alumni Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of alumni engagement activities, focused on building long term, mutually beneficial relationships. Your responsibilities will include recruiting and managing alumni volunteers, supporting mentoring and student engagement initiatives, planning and delivering events, and creating engaging digital communications. You will also contribute to activities that support rankings and accreditations, using alumni insight and data to help strengthen the School&rsquo;s global reputation.</p><p>This is a highly collaborative role, requiring close working with teams across the School and wider University, including Alumni Relations and Development, Marketing, Careers and Placements, International Recruitment and academic departments. You will play an important role in connecting alumni with key initiatives and ensuring they remain engaged, informed and involved in the life of the School.</p><p>We are looking for a proactive professional with experience in alumni relations, stakeholder engagement or related areas such as marketing or events management. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You should be organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities. Experience of working with volunteers, delivering events, and using CRM systems and digital communication tools is essential.             <p><br></p><p id="isPasted">We are seeking to appoint a Research Administrator on a fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dedicated team focused on the delivery of excellent research support within the School Research Support Team (SRST).&nbsp;</p><p>The post provides high quality administrative support within the busy School Research Office which works to enhance the research environment for academic staff and postgraduate research students. Under the line management of the Research Officer you will also work closely with the Senior Research Manager as part of the School Research Support Team.&nbsp;</p><p>You will have the opportunity to be involved with the different Departments and Research Centres, assisting with events and ensuring that travel arrangements and other administrative tasks are dealt with efficiently.             <p id="isPasted">This is an exciting opportunity to take a central role within a state-of-the-art MS Facility at Aston University and become a highly valuable member of a vibrant and diverse research environment.&nbsp;</p><p>Aston University is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and motivated Mass Spectrometry Scientist to support and advance the operations of our state-of-the-art Mass Spectrometry Laboratory. The Aston University mass spectrometry facility conducts world-class research across multiple analytical disciplines, with a strong focus on both lipidomics and proteomics, employing targeted and untargeted approaches to address complex biological and biomedical questions.</p><p>The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience in sample preparation for advanced mass spectrometry analyses. More experienced candidates will demonstrate proficiency with either one or more instruments from our portfolio, including high-resolution Orbitrap<sup>TM</sup> Ascend (ThermoFisher Scientific) and TWIMS<sup>TM</sup> (Waters) platforms, and low-resolution QqQ (e.g. Sciex, Waters), alongside a background in experimental design, workflow optimisation, and method development in qualitative and quantitative mass spectrometry.</p><p>In addition to providing scientific and technical expertise, the post-holder will play an important role in supporting the efficient and sustainable operation of the laboratory, including usage reporting and the coordination of access for both internal researchers and external collaborators or industry partners.
