            <p id="isPasted">The Department of Biosciences at Aston University is a dynamic community with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, accredited Biomedical Science, Biomedicine, Biological Sciences, and Biochemistry programmes. This fixed-term teaching-focussed post offers an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team dedicated to pedagogic innovation, programme enhancement, and providing an outstanding student experience. Aston University offers a supportive environment for teaching-focused staff, including opportunities for pedagogic research, leadership development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.</p><p>The post-holder will contribute to teaching and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate Biosciences programmes. Responsibilities include leading and teaching modules, curriculum development, academic and pastoral support, and quality assurance processes. The role also involves pedagogic scholarship, external engagement activities, and participation in School citizenship, such as open days and committees. This post provides a chance to shape and enhance the student learning experience.</p><p>Candidates must hold a relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification (or HEA Fellowship) with proven experience in high-quality teaching and assessment within Biosciences.&nbsp;Essential skills include designing engaging learning materials, leading modules, supporting students, and contributing to curriculum enhancement.&nbsp;Applicants should have strong communication and organisational skills, experience using VLEs such as Blackboard, and the ability to apply pedagogic research to teaching practice. Experience in designing practical classes, delivering teaching in areas such as Immunology, Haematology, Transfusion Science, Microbiology, Physiology, or Anatomy, and supporting external engagement activities would be advantageous.</p><p id="isPasted">This role may meet the requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.If you require sponsorship, Aston University will assess eligibility if you are shortlisted for the role.             <p id="isPasted">Applications are invited for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology. Applicants must be a scientist with a doctorate in a relevant academic discipline such as Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology or Biochemistry, and be research-active.</p><p>The successful applicant will lead, develop and enhance on aspects of the research, teaching and scholarly activities of the Division of Neurosciences, with a focus on pharmacology/neuropharmacology.
