            <p data-end="326" data-start="184" id="isPasted">Aston University is seeking professional, customer-focused and proactive individuals to join our Campus Safety Team as Campus Safety Officers.</p><p data-end="568" data-start="328">Based in the heart of Birmingham, Aston University is a vibrant and diverse community. Our Campus Safety Team plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of students, staff and visitors 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.</p><p data-end="795" data-start="589">As a Campus Safety Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure campus environment through a combination of customer service, security patrols, incident response and emergency support. <strong>Please note, <span data-teams="true" id="isPasted">&nbsp;this role offers a 4 on 4 off pattern, 2 days / 2 nights.</span></strong></p><p data-end="816" data-start="797">Key duties include:</p><ul data-end="1312" data-start="818"><li data-end="870" data-section-id="1k9nzia" data-start="818">Conducting foot and vehicle patrols across campus.</li><li data-end="931" data-section-id="1l0qidg" data-start="871">Responding to incidents, emergencies and welfare concerns.</li><li data-end="984" data-section-id="15twvyh" data-start="932">Monitoring CCTV, access control and alarm systems.</li><li data-end="1057" data-section-id="1pift3u" data-start="985">Supporting students, staff and visitors with safety-related enquiries.</li><li data-end="1123" data-section-id="9fvtj6" data-start="1058">Managing access to buildings and enforcing University policies.</li><li data-end="1179" data-section-id="h7il3r" data-start="1124">Recording incidents and maintaining accurate reports.</li><li data-end="1248" data-section-id="yhmyry" data-start="1180">Working closely with emergency services and internal stakeholders.</li><li data-end="1312" data-section-id="1jfz65n" data-start="1249">Assisting major events, open days and graduation ceremonies.</li></ul><p data-end="1363" data-start="1328">We are looking for individuals who:</p><ul data-end="1710" data-start="1365"><li data-end="1421" data-section-id="58uzil" data-start="1365">Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li data-end="1472" data-section-id="z9e94o" data-start="1422">Can remain calm and professional under pressure.</li><li data-end="1540" data-section-id="yxxnkq" data-start="1473">Demonstrate sound judgement and strong problem-solving abilities.</li><li data-end="1600" data-section-id="1l0x1wx" data-start="1541">Are committed to delivering outstanding customer service.</li><li data-end="1665" data-section-id="1qtd1be" data-start="1601">Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li><li data-end="1710" data-section-id="4693cg" data-start="1666">Possess good IT and report-writing skills.</li></ul><p data-end="1858" data-start="1712">Previous experience in security, policing, military service, customer service or a similar operational environment is desirable but not essential.</p><p id="isPasted">&nbsp;<strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Aston University is a vibrant campus located within Birmingham city centre, which has excellent transport links via bus or train.</li><li>Excellent training and development&nbsp;opportunities.</li><li>A generous annual leave scheme with 28 days bookable leave and a further 13 days of bank holiday and University closure days.</li><li>Everyday discounts to a number of activities and retailers.</li><li>Great family-friendly&nbsp;policies.</li><li>On-site gym and pool with discounted staff membership available.</li><li>Further information on our Benefits and Rewards can be found <a href="https://www.aston.ac.uk/staff-public/hr/Benefits-and-Rewards" target="_blank" title="https://www.aston.ac.uk/staff-public/hr/benefits-and-rewards">here</a>.</li></ul><p><span data-teams="true" id="isPasted">We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications.
