The Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI) requires a Knowledge Exchange Associate to join an academic and operational team to work with research teams and businesses. 

The successful candidate will provide technical and scientific expertise as part of a major bioenergy demonstration, research and knowledge exchange project supported by the European regional Development Fund. The role is required to work closely with academics and technologists in EBRI and other University departments as well as business development professionals to support new industry related business and collaborative research projects.

Experience with bioproducts, soil sciences and related disciplines is required along with the ability to conduct experimental research work as well as the production of reports and the delivery of workshops for industry. A general competence in bioenergy systems would be an advantage. You must have a first degree and ideally a higher degree in Chemical Engineering or a related topic.

There will be the opportunity to work offsite at exhibitions, seminars and events and to work directly with clients alongside the rest of the team. 

Although this work is in a structured environment, a high degree of initiative is required in order to achieve the required results from complex systems.

You will report to EBRI’s Project Manager and work closely with thermal processing research teams in EBRI.
