We are looking for an experienced Support Analyst to join us to provide technical advice and support relating to student systems to staff and students across Aston University. Within the Student and Academic Services directorate, this role is part of the Corporate Student Systems  team. The Support Analyst will use a dedicated case management system to respond to support calls relating to student systems. The Support Analyst will approach system improvements and developments proactively, understanding customer needs and identifying areas for service improvement.
 

The successful Support Analyst will have a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders of all levels, creating solutions which really address user needs.
 

Here are some of the key responsibilities for the Support Analyst role: 

  • Provide technical advice and support relating to student systems to staff and students across the University via the Top Desk case management system.
  • Understand customer needs and contribute to identifying areas for service improvement.
  • Provide advice in relation to information flows to, from and between systems and contribute to the overall integrity of the data used by systems.  
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing and implementation of solutions and enhancements to student systems, including SITS: Vision, e: Vision and related systems as appropriate.

Here are some of the knowledge skills and experience required to be successful in the Support Analyst role:

  • Experience of system development.
  • Advanced user of data records and management information systems (such as SITS).
  • Analytical ability and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders in order to facilitate systems development and improvement.

Please note that the Support Analyst role will be initially working from home, but once it safe to do so, the role will be a mixture of working from home and our offices in Aston, Birmingham
