An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy Conference and Events office within the College of Business and Social Sciences providing all aspects of support and assistance to the Conference and Events Manager. 

You will maintain event related data and records and act as the point of contact for enquiries to ensure delegates receive accurate and timely information.  You will prepare event documentation, maintain and update webpages and sway and disseminate information through eg  social media, mailshots. You will have the ability to assimilate information from diverse areas and translate into information or responses understandable to individual customers. 

You will have a good standard of general education, with a minimum Grade C in GCSE (or equivalent) English and Mathematics and have experience ,of working in a service -orientated busy customer facing department. You will have experience of providing administrative support for a range of administrative tasks and processes. You will have excellent written and verbal skills; providing the ability to communicate with people from within and outside of the University. You will have the ability to work without close supervision to work under pressure and prioritise to meet tight deadlines You will have excellent time management and organisational skills, and you will be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of line , managers, and stakeholders. You will be able to multitask. You will welcome delegates and assist with the co -ordination of activities during the event. Experience of using  event management systems, IT skills  , use of Excel , Word and data reporting software would be advantageous.

Interviews are expected to take place on 15th or 19th September 2022.
